Working at Heights

A Working at Heights course provides learners with an awareness of the hazards involved in working at height and gives an overview of industry best practice in relation to working at height

GWO Working at Heights training

Working at heights naturally offers a comprehensive range of risks and hazards. The particular working conditions mean that personnel must have specific training and certifications to meet the GWO standards. And to be able to carry out assignments in a safe and controlled manner.

Who is the working at heights training for?

This course is made for personnel in the wind industry and similar industries where workers are expected to solve tasks in heights.

Prerequisites for Working at Heights training

Since this is a basic course, there is no requirement for prior training or certifications. However, delegates must be medically fit and participate in all modules to get the final certification.

Once the final exam is passed, RelyOn Nutec uploads a digital record of the GWO certificate in WINDA. For that reason, a WINDA online profile is required before entering the course. To register for a delegate or organisation profile, please go to winda.globalwindsafety.org

What subjects are covered in Working at Heights?

RelyOn Nutec offers GWO approved basic training. To meet the required GWO standards the course provides training in:

  • Global and national legislation
  • Required PPE for Working and Rescue at Heights
  • Practical training in Working at Heights
  • Emergency procedures and evacuation scenarios
  • Rescue procedures and realistic scenarios

There is no final exam. Instead, delegates are observed throughout the course where instructors assess the delegate's ability to solve the tasks during training and classroom theory.

RelyOn Nutec Working at Heights training

As well as GWO we also offer our own working at height training for a variety of industries.

These working at heights training courses educate the delegates on possible risks, legislation, and how to inspect the equipment, to name a few central themes.

The general aim with the courses is to make working at heights as safe as possible for personnel. Basic theory and practical training are the foundations of a safe workplace, and RelyOn Nutec basic training provides delegates with the tools needed to act safely.
