Travel Safely By Boat

Sometimes offshore installations are dependent on boats to get personnel on and off the location. A Travel Safely be Boat-course is for personnel who are expected to travel by boat to or from an offshore installation.

During the course, delegates will obtain a basic level of knowledge and appreciation of safety and emergency procedures related to traveling by boat and safely transferring to or from an offshore installation.

What will you Learn during a Travel Safely by Boat-Course?

During the Travel Safely by Boat training course delegates will gain a basic level of understanding and an awareness of safety and emergency response associated with travelling to an offshore installation by boat for the purpose of transfer.

Travel Safely by Boat Course Outline

Travel Safely by Boat training courses will cover the following:

• Awareness of the risks to which they are exposed and how they are managed
• An understanding of the essential safety rules with which they must comply and
• how to act in an emergency
• An increase in their personal commitment to safety
• Effective use of personal safety equipment
• Practice and demonstrate correct method of boat transfers (simulated boat deck
• and installation)

The course duration is half a day and the certificate is valid for four years.

No prerequisites are required. Delegates who are in possession of a current BOSIET(with EBS), FOET(with EBS), HUET (with EBS), Tropical BOSIET, Tropical FOET, Tropical HUET, BOSIET (with CAEBS), HUET (with CA-EBS) or FOET (with CA-EBS) are not required to participate in practical life raft and in-water sea survival exercises.
