The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is the statutory corporation which oversees and regulates all aspects of civil aviation in the United Kingdom

What is CAA?

As the UK's specialist aviation regulator the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) work so that:

  • The aviation industry meets the highest safety standards,
  • Consumers have choice, value for money, are protected and treated fairly when they fly,

  • The aviation industry manages security risks effectively

What does it mean to be CAA certified?

UK operators flying anywhere in the world and foreign operators flying within UK airspace are all subject to the requirements concerning European Union Air Safety Agency (EASA). These differing criteria require approval from the CAA.
