Objective

During the course delegates will gain and demonstrate to a level of competence to undertake the duties and responsibilities as Ship Security Officer. The delegate will acquire acknowledge on carrying out security inspections, ship security plan, security awareness, reporting and training. Delegates will also acquire acknowledge of coordinating implementation of a ship security plan with the company security officer and relevant port facility security officers.

Target Group

This course is aimed at sea going personnel designated as ship security officer on board a vessel.

Prerequisites

All delegates must be in possession of a valid seafarer medical certificate issued by an approved medical practitioner.
