Medical Care (STCW)
Objective
Meet the requirements as described in the STCW convention ('78 as amended), section A-VI / 4, Table A-VI / 4-2, Chapter VI (Medical Care).
Pursuant to the Seafarers Act, the captain and everyone in charge of medical care on board must be in possession of the 'Medical Care' certificate.
Target Group
For the captain and other persons on board who are responsible for medical care.
Prerequisites
STCW BT (Basic Training) certificate.
Examination
The certificate is issued on the basis of attendance and the performance of all prescribed actions and / or skills.
Course Contents
During the course, the emphasis is on illness, nursing and patient care.
Performing investigations and medical operations that may be necessary on board.
