ECITB Hub Rescue
Objective
On successful completion of training the delegate will be deemed to have demonstrated individually and as part of a team, practical skills and the competence in:
Selecting and preparing the appropriate tools and equipment and checking they are in a safe and usable condition
Casualty preparation procedures for casualties with a range of injuries
Casualty evacuation procedures
Correct use of communication channels
Target Group
Those required to access Hub and Yaw sections of wind turbine generators (WTG) and how to rescue a casualty from these areas
Prerequisites
Valid GWO Working at Height and Rescue (or refresher) or IRATA Rope Access and,
Valid GWO First Aid (or refresher) and,
Valid GWO Manual Handling and,
Confined Space Training
Examination
Assessment of the Learning Outcomes as per the ECITB standard will be assessed via a written question paper and via observation
Delegates will be awarded an ECTIB approved certificate which is valid for 2 years once they successfully pass the knowledge assessment and practical assessment.
