Objective

The candidate will be able to: - Identify different types of slings - State the safe practices of rigging - Demonstrate competency working with various pieces of rigging gear - Demonstrate securing a load to a sling satisfactorily - Demonstrate hand signals - Explain how to inspect various pieces of rigging gear - Demonstrate familiarity with OSHA, ASME, and API standards.

Examination

The candidate will be required to score a minimum competency of 70% on a written exam and demonstrate competency performing various rigging procedures.
