Objective

The aim of the CRO Emergency Response Training course is to introduce delegates to their roles and responsibilities as a CRO, during an emergency in a simulated environment.

Target Group

Experienced or new Control Room Operators (CRO) who require Emergency Response Training, to allow them to be assessed against the OPITO CRO Emergency Response standard.

Prerequisites

There are no pre-requisites for this course, although an understanding of control room operations is essential.

Examination

Delegates will be awarded a RelyOnNutec CRO Emergency Response Training certificate and performance appraisal once they have successfully completed the training programme.

Courses are conducted at RelyOnNutec training centres in Aberdeen

Theory:
CRO Roles and Responsibilities during an emergency
Intro to Emergency Response
Hazards
Communications
Emergency Procedures and Checklists
Stress Management

Practical:
Introduction to the simulator equipment and software.
A number of realistic emergency scenarios covering:
1. Threat to life,
2. Threat to installation,
3. Threat to the environment.
