Objective

The Sparrows Offshore Crane Operator Stage 2 assessment verifies that individuals have the ability to consistently, independently and safely perform this safety critical role. The course covers advanced knowledge and demonstration of operating ability. Successful completion enables delegates to carry out deck lifts unsupervised.

Delegates are required to provide evidence of their existing Stage 1 qualification and workplace experience which is to be verified before undertaking the Stage 2 course.

Examination

Delegates who successfully pass the final day assessment will receive their Sparrows Offshore Crane Operator Stage 2 assessment certificate. They will also receive a Stage 2 Logbook which should be completed with around 90 hours of supervised lifts if they wish to progress to Stage 3.
