Marine Basic First Aid

Objective

Upon successful completion of all training components, in accordance with the Training Standard, trainees will receive a Marine Basic First Aid St. John Ambulance or Red Cross Certificate along with a Transport Canada Training Certificate.

Course Contents

The Marine Basic First Aid program is designed to train individuals working aboard ships. The Marine Basic First Aid program is based on the Standard Level First Aid with CPR Level A with an additional Marine First Aid Supplement.

The training requirements for the Marine Basic First Aid program are found in the Transport Canada document, TP13008: Training Standards for Marine First Aid and Marine Medical Care.
