CCNSG Safety Passport

Objective

The training is delivered by theoretical input and discussions based on set safety modules
Delegates on all courses are assessed by multi-choice examination of questions based on the subject matterdelivered in each module.
Supervisor trainees may attend the Supervisor Day immediately following a 2-Day Basic course, or on a
separate occasion.

Target Group

The aim of these Health and Safety Awareness Training Courses, operated under the Client/Contractor National Safety Group Scheme, is to ensure a basic knowledge of health and safety for all site personnel to enable them, after appropriate induction, to work on site more safely with lower risk to themselves and others.

For all personnel employed by or seeking employment with a contractor on a site controlled by a participating client. The Supervisor Course is primarily intended for First Line supervisory personnel.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for attending the Basic Safety Passport training. Attendees for Supervisor and renewal training must produce a valid in-date Basic Passport. The delegates must therefore bring 2 x passphoto for this use when joining this course.

Examination

Upon succesful completion of course delegates will be Issued Safety Passports which are valid for 3 years.

Basic & Renewal Courses
These courses consist of theory sessions based on 4 compulsory modules:
- Safe Behaviour at work.
- Safe place of work.
- Safe Systems of work.
- Safety Problems and safe solutions.

Supervisor Elements
- Behavioural Aspects.
- Communications.
- Roles and responsibilities.
- Planning Time Management.
- Incident/Accident Prevention.
- Hazard/risk Assessment.
