Examination

Delegates will be assessed/appraised against the Learning Outcomes specified in the Content Section. Should a delegate encounter challenges to meet these Learning Outcomes, RON shall provide additional coaching as an opportunity to meet those requirements Certification

Course Contents

Delegates who successfully complete this course will acquire the following knowledge and skills: The topics covered during this training are: 1. Describe the Sources of Energy associated with tasks, including Human Factor considerations and SimOps. 2. Describe hazards associated with the Sources of Energy and assess the corresponding risks with task, work site and process hazards. 3. Understand risk terminology 4. Standard COW steps and COW roles 5. Demonstrate knowledge of the requirements and benefits of work site visits to identify hazards to contribute to the process of performing task risk assessments. 6. Describe and apply the Hierarchy of Controls following hazards and risk identification to a task/work site situation. 7. Record hazards and control measures using a standard format. 8. Explain why effective job planning and scheduling is the foundation of good hazard identification and task risk assessment. 9. Describe how to lead a Level 1 Task Risk Assessment. 10. Identify a change in scope of work and how to manage the change 11. Identify where escalation to Level 2 Task Risk Assessment is required. 12. Participation in Level 1 and Level 2 Task Risk Assessments.
