Joining Instructions

IMPORTANT COURSE INFORMATION

Administration:

Prior to attending the course please complete the online enrolment form here, this will allow for a smoother start.  Once completed you will be sent a QR code to use on the day of your course to check in.  (If you are attending at FTG in Aberdeen you can skip this step, forms will be given on arrival).

Pre-Requisites:

Our courses are delivered in English and a reasonable command of the English language must be held.

If your course has any pre requisites these must be provided to us before check in for the training, failure to provide the correct pre-requisites will result in you being removed from the course  and full charges will apply.

For those attending Survival courses which include in water CAEBS:  Please be aware, If you have tested positive for covid 19 within 3 months of your course start date or have been suffering from long covid 19, please contact us prior to attending training.

WHAT TO TAKE WITH YOU

- Government issued ID i.e. Passport, drivers licence or a national ID card.

- For pool based training -  swimwear, spare trainers, towel and toiletries.

- If you are attending a VHF Radio exam please ensure you take a passport sized photo of yourself with you.  This is required for your VHF Licence.

- For fire fighting training you may wish to take with you a towel and toiletries if you wish to use the shower facilities following the course.  The fire ground will issue coveralls for wearing under your tunic and PPE will be provided.  Being clean shaven is recommended for use with the BA.

- For STCW training  please take along your Discharge Book if you hold one.

- For Technical Training we do have spare PPE but if you can please take your own as per the pre-requisite section above.

- For Training at Peterhead please ensure you take spare clothes and dress in warm clothing.

 

FITNESS TO PARTICIPATE

We need to ensure that you are physically and mentally capable of participating fully on your course.

Due to the physical and stressful demands of the training you will be required to declare that you are fit enough to participate in all parts of the course.

If you are on any medication or you have / had any prior medical conditions you should contact your doctor to discuss whether or not taking part in the course would pose a problem.  If you are registered as being ill then you must not take part in training  without contacting us in advance and you should produce a doctors certificate of fitness to attend.  Please bring any return to work certificate that you hold or any doctor reports specific to your condition so that our onsite Doctor can assess your fitness prior to the training.

Candidates should make us aware of any special requirements that could affect them during the training course at the earliest opportunity, prior to starting the course by calling 08444 142 142 or 01224 725808 or emailing bookings@uk.relyonnutec.com.  Each case will be assessed by the Operations Team against training objectives, learning outcomes and legislative requirements of the programme being undertaken to ensure that all arrangements necessary can be made.
