Further Offshore Emergency Response Team Member (FOERTM) Training

Objective

The course consists of theoretical input and practical exercises developed to measure competence relating to the key learning outcomes of the OPITO standard for Further Offshore Emergency Response Team Member training.

Target Group

This OPITO approved programme is designed to meet the further live practice onshore training and assessment requirements for Offshore Emergency Response Team Members as identified in the Oil & Gas UK Guidelines for Competence and Training in Emergency Response.

Prerequisites

Delegates must be in possession of a valid Offshore Emergency Response Team Member certificate or a valid Further Offshore Emergency Response Team Member certificate

ITEMS TO BRING: All delegates must bring Photographic I.D. and PASSPORT only (original or copy)

HEALTH: All delegates will be asked to complete a medical questionnaire prior to course commencement.

Examination

Delegates will be assessed against the defined training outcomes of the current OPITO standard.

Once successfully meeting the defined learning outcomes, delegates will be issued an OPITO approved Further

Offshore Emergency Response Team Member certificate which is valid for 2 years.

Delegates should report to reception for 08.00hrs, course starts at 08.15hrs, unless otherwise stated.

Course Contents

The course consists of practical and theoretical training designed to give Delegates maximum opportunity to practice, team fire & emergency response skills previously developed .

Entering and working in the fire incident area, using best working practices and procedures
Locating and handling casualties
Selecting and using portable fire-fighting equipment
Extinguish a fire and/or securing an area
Conducting and controlling breathing apparatus operations
Maintaining communications

And extended coaching will be provided where necessary
