Objective

The course shall Motivate for use of HSE Inspection as a visible and efficient tool within HSE Management Strengthen the understanding of risk, and correct perception of potential hazards in connection with falling objects/unsecured equipment at heights Provide know-how on techniques and best practices regarding barriers, mounting, and securing of tools and equipment Provide an introduction to HSE observation techniques Upon the completed course, the participants shall be able to identify risks and potential hazards related to work at heights and falling objects, and be able to identify preventive and corrective measures for avoiding such conditions.

Leaders and key personnel responsible for planning and performance of maintenance, lifting operations, and work at heights. Safety delegates HSE personnel

Risk evaluation. What can go wrong? Causal analysis. Why do accidents occur? Observation techniques Securing of personnel, equipment, and tools for work at heights. Principles and methods. Demonstration of equipment for reliable securing. Falling objects. What damage may they cause? Practical tests.
