Target Group
Personnel who will be working in the wind industry or related fields, and will carry out their duties in a wind turbine environment, usually in physical contact with a wind turbine or offshore wind structure.
Personnel that perform job functions that have been risk assessed by their employer or workplace, where training according to one or more modules of the BST standard may mitigate the identified risks.

Course Contents
This course provides an awareness of how to safely use portable hand tools. You will learn about the associated legislation and types of tools commonly used in the wind energy industry, looking in detail at both manual and powered hand tools.
You will gain an understanding on the potential hazards and associated injuries, along with practical advice and knowledge on the rules and preventative measures that you should take to reduce risk and operate safely in the workplace.
