Generic Portable Power Ascender Equipment Lift Basic Training

Objective

The purpose of this course is : to provide a thorough introduction with Portable Power ascender and getting a good understanding of the function, pre use check and the correct care of the batteries that participants learn how to operate Portable Power ascender and familiarize them with the standard equipment lifting setups and their general applications

Target Group

Any person that will use a Generic Portable Power ascender for lifting of equipment

Examination

Delegates who successfully complete the training course will be awarded a certificate of attendance that will be valid for 2 years. This course can be delivered at any of our training facilities in UK, or at customer premises (following review of facilities)

Course Contents

Tell the typical fields of application for Portable Power ascenders Explain why and when Portable Power ascenders not must be used Explain the Portable Power ascenders safety guidelines Perform an introduction of a Portable Power ascender and describe all parts and controls and its functions Explain how to take best care of the battery and how they work in relation to the ascender Explain and demonstrate a pre use check of the ascender Explain and demonstrate the starting of the ascender Perform safe and appropriate rigging according to local regulation and best practice Explain and demonstrate correct rope feeding into the ascender Explain and demonstrate safe and correct operation of Portable Power ascenders Explain and demonstrate the 4 equipment lifting setups and what are they used for and what the advantages and disadvantages of each particular setup are Demonstrate a change between setups while maintaining a 100% tie off of ascender and equipment
