Free Fall Add-On
Objective
The purpose of the course is to give the delegate knowledge to procedures related to launch, navigation and recovery of a freefall lifeboat as described in STCW code Section B-I/14 1.1 and 14 1.2
The Course is a Add-On to Certificate in Survival craft and rescue boats A-VI/2-1
Target Group
Personnel working on ships equiped with Free Fall Lifeboats or Conventional lifeboats.
Prerequisites
Before admission to the REFRESHER course the student must
- Have valid certificate of competency in Survival Craft & rescueboats A-VI/2-1 and/or Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC)
- Valid medical certificate.
It is not a requirement that the Delegate have the Basic Course but if further knowledge in launching / recovery of Freefall & Conventional lifeboats are needed, Basic course is reccomended.

Course Contents
The course contains following subjects to be treated theoretical as well as Practical: Construction, launching arrangements and davits, launching procedures and recovery procedures of Free Fall lifeboats and Conventional Lifeboats.
