CESS - Survival Craft and Rescue Boats Course

Objective

Qualify the students for launch and maneuvers task with boats and survival and rescue equipment, according to item 5.6.2.1 of Resolution A-1079 (28) of 04.12.2013, the International Maritime Organization and Rule VI / 2 of the International STCW Convention and Section A-VI / 2 and Table A-VI / 2-1 of the STCW Code.

Target Group

Workers that perform launching and maneuvers with survival and rescue equipment and boats

Prerequisites

- Have more than 18 (eighteen) years old;
- RG and CPF;
- Passport (expatriate);
- Occupational health certificate (ASO) or certificate of good physical and mental health conditions;
- Present a copy of valid CBSP certificate;
- Present proof of education (minimum elementary school).

Examination

Multiple choice exam with minimum passing grade of 60%.

4. Helicopter Rescue Methods - 01 hour
5. Survival Craft and Rescue Vessel - 02 hours
6. Equipment Launch - 02 hours
7. Engine Survival Craft and its accessories - 02 hours
8. Abandonment - 02 hours
9. Actions onboard of a Survival Craft - 02 hours
10. First Aid - 01 hour
11. Survival Craft Launch and recovery Exercises - 04 hours
12. Survival Craft Release and Maneuvers under Bad weather - 04 hours
13. Radio, signaling and Pyrotechnics equipment - 02 hours
14. Launch Inflatable raft and exercises - 04 hours
15. Practice Exercises - 04 hours

Reserve time – 02 hours
Exam time – 02 hours
