Objective
LO1: Explain what Hazard Identification is
LO2: Identify methods of hazard identification
LO3: Describe the different energy sources
LO4: Identify examples of control measures for each energy source
LO5: Identify contributing factors
LO6: Describe how you can use your senses to detect hazards
LO7: Explain the importance of good observation
Target Group
Personnel who will be working in the wind industry or related fields, and will carry out their duties in a wind turbine environment, usually in physical contact with a wind turbine or offshore wind structure.
Personnel that perform job functions that have been risk assessed by their employer or workplace, where training according to one or more modules of the BST standard may mitigate the identified risks.
Prerequisites
No prerequisites are required to sit this course.
Examination
The assessment is taken during the course and is within the expected duration.
Course Contents
This course is suitable for all employees working in hazardous industries, including wind energy. It has been developed with the aim of promoting the establishment, maintenance and development of hazard identification and risk assessment systems to provide a safer work environment.
