Dangerous Goods Awareness Training
Objective
On successful completion of this training, delegates will
have basic understanding of the regulations for shipping
dangerous goods by air, including their labelling, packing and
stowage.
Target Group
This course is aimed at personnel with responsibility of driving/
sailing of vehicles carrying dangerous goods by road or sea or
air.
Prerequisites
No Prerequisite is required.
Examination
On completion of this course, a written assessment will be taken.

This course consists of:
• Definition of Dangerous goods
• Regulations and legislation of governing dangerous goods by air
• How to identify dangerous goods carried by passengers and crew
• How to identify excepted and limited quantities
• Classification of dangerous goods
• Identify and meaning of subsidiary hazards risk
• Packing groups and packaging
• Types of labelling required for dangerous goods
• International Air Transport Association (IATA) list of dangerous goods
• Recall the shippers responsibility
• Recall the documentation required for shipping dangerous goods by air
• Requirement for loading and shipping dangerous goods by air
• Identify emergency situations and how to deal with them
• Incident and reporting procedures
