Prerequisites
No prerequisites are required to sit this course.
This course is a prerequisite to the IADC WellSharp online Knowledge Test which will be booked by your regional IADC Administrator on completion of the course.
Examination
A mock exam is included in this course.
On completion of this e-learning course, you will receive login details to sign in and sit the final IADC WellSharp test online.

This IADC accredited course gives candidates a practical understanding of the features of drilling a well and the fundamental principles involved in maintaining well control. The training reinforces the critical body of knowledge and set of job skills required by rig personnel during drilling operations.
On completion of the e-learning and online quiz , delegates will be contacted by an IADC Administrator within 1 working day to schedule the IADC accredited final Knowledge Test delivered through the WellSharp Testing Database. Delegates will be offered next available online testing times/dates in their region, but if you have a preferred time/date outside of the scheduled test sessions, please make this known to your dedicated IADC Administrator.
Successful completion of both the course and a score of 75% or above in the final IADC Knowledge Test leads to accreditation by the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC). Due to IADC requirements, delegates are not automatically registered for the IADC Knowledge Test. Contact will be made on completion of the e-learning course to book delegates onto the IADC Knowledge Test. This course equips rig crew personnel with the knowledge that enables them to play an active role in preventing, recognising and responding to well control incidents during drilling operations. The IADC WellSharp Introductory Level certificate is issued on successful completion of the IADC Knowledge Test and is valid for 5 years.
