Prerequisites

The STCW Security Awareness for all Seafarers course should be successfully completed as a pre-requisite of this course.
Prior to commencing the course, all candidates are required to supply a date of birth.

Examination

The assessment is taken during the course and is within the expected duration.

Course Contents

The course is available in the following languages: English; Danish
This security awareness course is designed to provide seafarers who have designated security duties, as per ship security plan, with the necessary knowledge to effectively implement ship security.
This course is specifically designed to provide the additional ‘designated duties’ information not covered in the original STCW Security Awareness for all Seafarers course. The STCW Security Awareness for all Seafarers course should be successfully completed as a pre-requisite of this course. The course is aligned to Chapter 11-2 of SOLAS 74, as amended in the ISPS code, and section A-6/6-2 of the STCW code. The course or certificate is not flag state approved at this time.
