STCW - Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats other than Fast Rescue Boats Refresh
Objective
To refresh the knowledge and skills needed to act as crew on a Lifeboat, MOB boat or Life raft. The course is acording to STCW 2010, table A-VI/2-1.
Target Group
The vessels operating crew who needs to refresh their certificate and their ability to operate life rafts, lifeboats and man-over-board boats.
Prerequisites
Valid Survival craft & Rescueboat certificate STCW A-VI 2-1 and / or Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC)
Valid health certificate
Examination
None, but all course must be completed with satisfaction for handing out certificate.
Course Contents
Delegates will undergo practical training in the following subjects
Operation and construction of:
- Liferafts
- Lifeboats
- Man-over-board boats
- Life saving appliances
Life-saving first aid, haemorrhage, shock and hypothermia.
