The challenge
Our client was looking for a quicker and more efficient way of supporting their staff to become qualified OPITO Competence Assessors, a process which generally takes upwards of 9 months.
The solution
We worked with our client to develop a program which enables Trainee Assessors to become qualified within one week, using a combination of both classroom delivery and real workplace practical application.
Throughout this fast-track programme, a RelyOn Nutec Qualification Assessor is onsite at the client’s premises, providing support and guidance through a blend of interactive delivery, open discussion and facilitated practical exercises. Trainee Assessors are given the support they need to satisfy the workplace evidence requirements of the OPITO standard within a much reduced timeframe.
This followed by supported assessment in the Trainee Assessors’ own workplace measures their ability to put their learning into practise, by conducting an assessment of two individuals performing routine tasks as part of normal operations.
The Process
The Trainee Assessors have two days in the classroom followed by one additional day in the workplace being coached as they carry out assessment.
Final assessment by the Qualification Assessor will take place during the additional day and pending a quality assurance check by a RelyOn Qualification Verifier, certification is awarded.
From start to finish, the whole process is finalised in under one week per Trainee Assessor.
