Objective

The objective of this course is to provide all delegates with knowledge and understanding of helicopter flight procedures with a particular focus on emergency situations.

Target Group

The OPITO-approved Helicopter Underwater Escape Training incl. CA-EBS (HUET) is intended for personnel traveling to oil and gas installations by helicopter. If you want to pay a short visit (one day) to an offshore installation, this is often the minimum requirement. In this one-day training the students are prepared for traveling with a helicopter (preflight and in-flight and basic training on emergency procedures) and escaping from a helicopter that has fallen into the water.

The CA-EBS training takes place in water in accordance with mutual recognition between Oil & Gas UK (OPITO) and NOGEPA.

Prerequisites

To participate in the training, the participant must be in possession a
valid, current offshore medical certificate or (b) Possess an employing
company approved medical certificate equivalent to an offshore
medical certificate, or (c) Undergoes medical screening by completing
an appropriate medical screening form provided by ReylOn Nutec.

Examination

The course is a mix of both practical and theoretical learning and delegates are required to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of the course contents throughout the training.

Upon completion of the course, delegates receive an OPITO approved
HUET with CA-EBS certificate.

Certification is valid for 4 years at which time delegates will be required to
repeat their HUET with CA-EBS training to remain certified.

Note: Training activities contained within this course may include physically demanding and potentially stressful elements. All personnel who participate in such activities must be capable of participating fully.
