Hazard Awareness

Objective

This course has been developed in accordance with the STEP Change initiative that promotes the establishment, maintenance and development of hazard identification and risk assessment systems to provide a safer work environment. This course will give your staff an excellent appreciation of the key features of all Hazard Identification systems used throughout the oil and gas industry and the differences between a hazard and a risk. On successful completion of this course, your staff will be able to work within any Hazard Identification system at any facility and appreciate how they can take an active role within the system. They will also have a proper understanding of their own personal responsibility for Hazard Identification and a greater appreciation of recognising potential hazards in your workplace.

Target Group

This course is suitable for all employees in the oil and gas industry.

Prerequisites

All delegates must be in possession of a valid medical certificate.

Identify the different types of hazards

Recognise what to do if a hazard is identified

Recognise the steps to take when completing a Hazard Identification

Be able to judge hazards in different working environments.
