IADC WellSharp Supervisor Level Drilling + Workover/Completion (Surface)

Objective

The IADC WellSharp Supervisor Level Drilling course including the Workover/Completions supplement is essential training for those primarily involved in the operational decision-making process of well control during drilling, workover, and completion operations. The course aims to build on the Driller Level course content (including kick detection and shut-in) and focus on more complex aspects of well control and well kill methodology.

Target Group

The IADC WellSharp Supervisor Level Drilling course including the Workover/Completions supplement is designed for drilling personnel working in a supervisory role and engaged in completion and workover operations.

Prerequisites

Prior IADC or IWCF certification at Driller or Supervisor Level is required. The training is role-specific so previous experience in a supervisory role during drilling operations is assumed. Please contact us to discuss candidate suitability if you have any doubts or queries.

Examination

Successful completion of the course and a minimum score of 75% in the written assessment and 70% in the practical skills assessment will result in IADC WellSharp Supervisor Level certification which is valid for two years.

Course Contents

The course is delivered over 5 days through presentation of a series of interactive lectures supported by videos and animations, supplemented by a classroom workbook and further self-study exercises and practical work on a drilling simulator.

The following topics will be covered during this course:
• Workover and completion fundamentals
• Definitions and calculations
