Target Group

has successfully completed a programme of updating training approved by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency as meeting the requirements laid down in: Regulation VI/1, paragraph 1 and Section A-VI/1, paragraph 3 and 4.2 of the STCW Convention and Code 1978, as amendedand has met the additional criteria specified in the STCW Convention and Code, applicable to the issue of this certificate This Certificate is issued under the authority of the Maritime and Coastguard Agency of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, an executive agency of the Department for Transport.

Theoretical: Fire theory Causes of ignition Onboard safety The conditions required for fire Methods to extinguish fire The spread of fire Classes of fire Practical: Carrying out the initial actions on discovering a fire Identifying the environment Correctly using portable and mobile fire extinguishers The use of hoses, nozzles and hose equipment Extinguishing different types of fire Testing and using BA equipment
