Objective

The objective this training course is to maintain competence levels of advanced fire fighting techniques with a particular emphasis on organisation, tactics, command and control.

Target Group

This training course is for all delegates who, under mandatory updating requirements, need to update their STCW Advanced Fire Fighting certificate.

Prerequisites

Delegates must be in possession of an STCW Certificate of Proficiency in Advanced Fire Fighting OR UK CEC or UK CoC.
And
Delegates must also sign a self-declaration form highlighting onboard experience and training. Delegates must bring their Seamans Discharge Book to validate the information on the self-declaration form.

The course covers the following topics including;

• Control of fire fighting operations on board ship
• Organisation and training of fire parties
• Inspection and servicing of fire detection/extinguishing equipment
• Investigation and reporting of fire incidents
