Objective
• To take a structured approach to completing a risk assessment • To understand the responsibilities of a risk assessment participant • To understand how to progress a task risk assessment • To understand leadership behaviours associated with risk assessment
Target Group
Any individual who will lead or participate in Hazard Identification and Task Risk Assessment activities
Examination
Delegates will be assessed/appraised against the Learning Outcomes specified in the Content Section. Should a delegate encounter challenges to meet these Learning Outcomes, RON shall provide additional coaching as an opportunity to meet those requirements
Course Contents
Delegates who successfully complete this course will acquire the following knowledge and skills: The topics covered during this training are: 1. Use of Sources of Energy to define a systematic approach to risk assessment. 2. Describe and document hazards associated with the Sources of Energy and assess the corresponding risks with task, work site and process hazards. 3. Writing good hazard and control statements 4. Identify where escalation to Level 2 Task Risk Assessment is required. 5. Describe the leadership actions and behaviours required for a Level 2 Task Risk Assessments. 6. Practice the systematic approach to a Level 2 Risk Assessment
