Theory: Incident / On -Scene Commander's Role and Responsibilities Leadership Function of Incident / On -Scene Commander Pre -Emergency Planning, Drills and ERT Training ERP (Company Specific), Emergency Structure & Checklists Company Chain of Command Communication with ER Teams, Employees and Authorities Stress Management during Emergencies Fire Protection & Emergency Response Equipment Assessment of Fire and Non - Fire Emergencies Dynamic Risk Assessment Safety of ER Teams during an Emergency Role of Emergency Management Identifying Potential Problems, Needs and Resources Incident Command System Linkage with Third Party Authorities Compliance with Regulatory and Legal Requirements Co-ordination of Emergency Response with other External Parties Care for the Safety of the Public and Environment Table Top Exercise – Pre Planning an Evacuation Drill Day 3 Practical Scenarios: Practical Exercises: Casualty Handling including Triage Medical Emergency, one (1) person Injured Fire Emergency with two (2) person missing Dangerous Goods Spill Incident Bomb Threat Suspected Package Power / Elevator Failure with Persons trapped in the Elevator Equipment / Additional Staff Required for Practical Exercises: Classroom which can also be used as ECC with communication lines (simulated) VHF Radios Additional Staff to act as Casualties, Missing Persons, ERT and for Communication proposes First Aid equipment (simulated use only) and stretcher Evacuation Plans, Muster checklists, Emergency equipment list, Communication contact list MSDS of Chemicals stored at site Access to Facility and Fire Equipment (simulated use only)
