Objective

The aim of this course is to ensure delegates have the knowledge and skills to work safely and competently undertake more advanced work using rope access.

Target Group

The IRATA Rope Access Level 2 is intended for those who already have the Level 1 certification and wish to progress to become a more advanced and competent rope access technician.

Examination

An assessment is conducted by an external examiner on the final day. Candidates will receive IRATA Rope Access Level 2 certification on successful completion of the course and assessment. Certification is valid for three years. Candidates can then either undertake the Level 3 course or resit the level 2 course to be recertified.

Course Contents

By the end of this rope access training programme delegates will be able to: • Undertake more complex rescues • Perform advanced rope access tasks under supervision • Have some knowledge of legislation, safety requirements and quality assurance.
