Objective

The course aims to update the delegates' understanding and skill for maintaining their own and others' safety in an emergency, as well as promote safe behaviour.
Upon completion delegates should have maintained and updated knowledge and skills within:
- Fire team management
- Medical first aid
- Sea survival
- Medical care

Target Group

Officers needing their STCW retraining to maintain their competence (every 5 years).

Prerequisites

Advanced safety training for officers and medical care basic course.

Examination

Written test for each STCW table.

A-VI/3
A-VI/4-1
A-VI/4-2

Approved according to STCW-78 with later amendments (Manila 2010).
