Objective

At the end of the course the personnel will be capable to: To obtain the ability to react properly in an emergency or urgency situation. Assist a victim consistently with the correct procedures based on the pathology and nature of the injuries.

Target Group

All the administrative and operative personnel that is integrated to the first aid brigade and that work in gas and oil processing facilities.

The following topics will be covered during the course:  Basic stages of First Aids.  Urgency measures.  Vital Signs.  Primary and secondary assessment of the victims.  How should the first aid assistant act.  Assessment of the scene and alert voice.  Wounds: Classification and initial care. o Hemorrhages. o Burns. o Musculoskeletal injuries.  Suffocation and gas toxicity.  CPR basic and IEC.  Legal implications of First Aids.
