Objective

To give the participants the sufficient skills and knowledge to participate asa member of the fire fighting team on the vessel.
The participants shall be able to show ability according to STCW-95, table AVl /1-2.

Target Group

Mariners who shall function as fire fighters on vessels.

Prerequisites

Participant must have valid health certificate.

Examination

None, but it is expected that the participants actively take part in all exercises, so that the instructor is satisfied, there will be made a certificate after end of course.

- Personal safety equipment.
- Extinguishing agents and equipment.
- Extinguishing tactics.
- Use of breathing apparatus for search and extinguishing.
