Objective

Enable workers who enter in the operational area and maintain direct contact with the process, carrying out the operation, maintenance or emergency assistance, promoting a work safety awareness for accident prevention in oil platforms, explaining procedures to be used in this environment.

Target Group

Workers who enter in the operational area and maintain direct contact with the process, performing the operation, maintenance or emergency assistance.

Examination

The students will be evaluated through direct observation. Validity: 5 Years

Course Contents

Theory: 7h 1. Accidents with flammable: their causes and the preventive measures existing in the operational area; 2. Responses to emergencies with combustible and flammable, according to the Emergency Response Plan described in the item 37.30 of this NR; 3. Process safety notions for platforms; 4. Safety in the electrical installations’ operation in explosive atmospheres; Practice: 1h 1. Practical on-board activity of at least one hour, indicating on the spot the systems and equipment available for firefighting. Technical Reference: NR-37.
