Company Specific Offshore Survival (including EBS)

Objective

By the end of this training program the delegate will: Understand the processes involved in helicopter travel & be competent in their ability to escape from a ditched or ditching helicopter in an emergency situation; Have knowledge of what to do in an evacuation situation, how to respond to alarms offshore, as well as systems used to achieve successful evacuation and the actions to take in the event of a water entry situation; Be familiar with the different means of escape in case of an abandonment from the offshore installation, vessels, mobile rigs, gain knowledge on the mustering, reporting, boarding a TEMPSC in a passenger role; Be competent in the use and operations of portable fire extinguishers for basic firefighting and be confident in self-rescue techniques used to successfully escape from smoke filled environments.

Target Group

This training program is specially designed in compliance with BP AGT (Azerbaijan Georgia Turkey Operational Region) requirements to meet the initial offshore safety and emergency response training requirements for personnel new (or returning) to the offshore oil and gas industry who will be supplied with a rebreather emergency breathing system (EBS) during offshore helicopter travel.

Examination

The course has a practical assessment through all the Modules.
