Sea Survival Training

Objective

Upon completion of the course the delegate will be able to: Recognize the conditions of disturbance and emergencies in offshore installations. Determine the type of emergencies. Take the evacuation measures according to the present scenario. Approach the unit in which the installation will be evacuated correctly. Execute the correct actions of survival in boat, rafts and direct flotation.

Target Group

Aimed at all personnel who will perform work in the oil and gas industry in offshore and onshore installations.

Examination

The delegate must demonstrate competence in the development and use of survival techniques at sea, rescue and rescue

The following topics are covered during the training: ·Historical background. ·Legislation and regulations. ·Emergency response plan. ·Abandonment of installation. ·Actions required when boarding lifeboats or rafts. ·Escape (ropes, nets, rafts, stairs). ·Attitude before the shipwreck. ·Individual rescue devices. ·Collective rescue devices. ·Man to water. ·Survival techniques in the water. ·Dangers for survivors. ·Administration and use of supplies. ·Visual and radio assistance devices. ·Search and rescue systems ·Rescue techniques Ships and Helicopters.
