GWO Advanced Rescue Training BASIC (HSIBR + NTBR)
Objective
The ART modules shall enable Delegates to perform entry-type injured person rescue operations, in a WTG, using industry standard rescue equipment, rescue methods and techniques, exceeding those of GWO Working at Height
Target Group
Personnel who will be working in the wind industry or related fields, and will have their duties in a wind turbine environment.
Personnel that may need or is selected by their employer to perform advanced rescue or lead an advanced rescue operation, where training according to one or more modules of the GWO Advanced Rescue Training may mitigate the identified risks.
Prerequisites
Valid GWO BST module Working at Heights, GWO First aid and GWO Manual Handling certificates.
Personal weight limit fully equipped max. 136 kg /299,8 lbs (incl. all PPE, equipment, clothing, etc.)
Delegate must have personal Winda ID number
Medical Screening form to be made on arrival at the training center (verified by instructor in the classroom)
Personal ID (verified by instructor in the classroom)
Examination
Delegates will be assessed by means of direct observation and supplementary oral questions where appropriate (formative evaluation).
Course Contents
Day 1 - Hub, Spinner, Blade Rescue Including:
- Emergency response plan
- Control measures
- Cervical collar
- Packaging the injured person
- Lowering/raising systems
- Hub, Spinner, Blade rescue exercises
- Outside evacuation of an injured Person
Day 2 & 3 - Nacelle, Tower, Basement Rescue including:
- Emergency response plan
- Control measures
- Cervical collar
- Packaging the injured person
- Lowering/raising systems
- Inside evacuation of an injured Person
- Rescue from Enclosed space
- Rescue from Crawl Space
- Rescue up
- Single Rescuer
