Overhead Gantry Crane Operations

Objective

This course is aimed to provide delegates with a brief knowledge of legislation applicable when carrying out lifts and all prior assessments relating to the risks involved along with Communication and basic signals required between the banksman, slinger and crane operator. This course is a combination of theory and practical content

Target Group

Even with a trained workforce accidents happen, fortunately, they are few and far between. With a wandering mind or eye you have perhaps changed someones life forever. Current legislation now requires all lifting operations to be properly planned by a competent person. Appropriately supervised, and above all, carried out in a safe manner. Any lifting operation, with out-of-date training certification, untrained or complacent staff is a recipe for disaster.
