Aircrew HUET with Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System Training
Objective
The course consists of a combination of classroom theory, dry and in-water practical exercises in the use of a compressed air emergency breathing system, how to safely escape from a ditched helicopter and corresponding actions in-water and in a liferaft.
Each delegate will complete a theory test to confirm their understanding of the CA-EBS
Target Group
The training programme is designed to provide aircrew with the necessary information and skills required to safely operate a Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System and actions
to take in a helicopter ditching situation
Prerequisites
A valid Class 1 or Class 2 Aviation medical
ENT & Spirometry test / check-up (within 12 months prior to training )
A signed statement from a medical practitioner / doctor indicating that the individual is fit to undertake in-water CA-EBS training
Examination
Delegates will recieve an In-house RelyOn Nutec certificate on succesful completion of course content
This course can be delivered at both our training centres in Aberdeen and Teesside
Course Contents
Classroom theory - Dry CA-EBS and theory test
Shallow water CA-EBS practical training
HUET escape exercises including use of CA-EBS
Dry raft brief on helicopter life raft, emergency actions and associated equipment, practical dry building of life raft.
Wet raft brief including, boarding from the water, emergency actions, building of life raft, emergency actions for a capsized life raft.
