Additional Basic Safety Training for the Norwegian Sector

Objective

The objective of this course is to provide delegates with additional training designed to satisfy the requirements of the North Sea mutual acceptance of Basic Safety and Emergency Preparedness Training Agreement dated 1st November 2007.

Target Group

Personnel who work or are intending to work in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea who are not in possession of OLF Basic Safety Training (02) certification.

Prerequisites

There are no training pre-requisites for this course.

Examination

This course consists of practical training and exercises.
Upon completion of the course delegates will be awarded with a RelyOn Nutec certificate valid until the expiry date shown on their current OPITO certificate.

Course Contents

The course focuses on escape chute training and covers the following elements:
• Theoretical understanding of the escape chute and its use as an alternative means of evacuation
• Safe entry, exit and use of escape chute
