Objective

The course is designed to satisfy the minimum training requirements set forth in Coast Guard regulations for the position of Tankerman-PIC (Barge).

Target Group

Individuals who will be serving as the person in charge of transfer operations involving dangerous liquid cargoes to and from tank barges.

Prerequisites

Students must be able to speak and read in English.

Examination

The candidate will be required to score a minimum competency of 70% on a written exam.
