THUET 5194 CA-EBS Conjunction - Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System

Objective

The aim of the additional Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS) training is to complement initial and further offshore safety and emergency response training and assessment (i.e. TBOSIET, T-HUET or T-FOET) for personnel travelling to an offshore oil and gas installation by helicopter (in a warm water tropical environment) when issued with a Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS).

The objectives of the additional CA-EBS training delivered in conjunction with the T-BOSIET, T-HUET or TFOET programmes are to:

(a) Ensure delegates are familiar with the use of the Compressed Air
Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS)
(b) Ensure that delegates understand their basic emergency
response actions during a helicopter emergency using the CA
EBS

Target Group

Personnel travelling to an offshore oil and gas installation by helicopter (in a warm water tropical environment) who require additional training in a Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS) will complete this training delivered in conjunction with either the T-BOSIET, T-HUET or T-FOET course.

Prerequisites

None

Examination

The delegate must achieve all learning outcomes successfully to receive certification. Delegates will be assessed using direct observation on all performance activities.

The topics covered during this training are:
- Helicopter Safety and Escape Training (with CA-EBS) using a
Modular Egress Training Simulator (METS)
- Sea Survival including Evacuation and TEMSPC
