Prerequisites

Delegates attending must be in possession of an in date HSE approved First Aid certificate

Examination

Successful delegates will be issued with a completion certificate, validity 1 year

Course Contents

Understand the role of the first aider including reference to:

assess the situation in an emergency
administer first aid to a casualty who is unconscious (including seizure)
administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation
administer first aid to a casualty who is wounded and bleeding
administer first aid to a casualty who is suffering from shock
