Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR) Consigners Course


The course is an intense 3 days, with delegates being taught how to navigate their way through the ADR Regulations and how to have an understanding of the UK Regulations. Included in the training student will also be expected to participate in homework.

Target Group

The Dangerous Goods 3 day consignors course is designed for delegates who offer consignments of Dangerous Goods by road transport. The course can be intense, but is conducted in such a manner that delegates will not feel that they are being alienated, and time will be allocated to those who feel that they are struggling with course

During the course, delegates will participate in various written exercises which are designed in such a way that they follow a natural progression towards the afternoon of day 3 where a written examination will be conducted.




On successful completion of the ADR Consignors course, successful delegates will be awarded a certificate from RelyOnNutec

This course can be delivered at any RelyOn Nutec premises or at a Customers premises, including overseas

Course Contents

Day 1:
Course registration / introduction
Introduction of the various regulation (UN, ADR and UK Regulations)
General provisions contained in ADR
The UN Classification system
Understanding the Dangerous Goods List (including Limited and Excepted Quantities)
Packing and use of tank provisions (identifying and using packing instructions including mixed packing)
Identification of Dangerous Goods Not Otherwise Specified (NOS)

Day 2:
Understanding the UN packaging system
Transport operations (including segregation of incompatible Dangerous Goods)
Vehicle crews, equipment, operation and documentation
Construction and approval of vehicles

Day 3:
Consignment procedures
