Gain competence within:
Emergency response organisation, chain of command and crisis reactions.
Basic introduction to the lifeboat.
Mustering, readying and evacuation.
Alternative means of evacuation.
Personnel performing the task as coxswains on FF1200, and other lifeboats built according to the DNV 406 regulations.
Basic Safety Training.
Written and practical exam according to the guidelines from Norwegian Oil and Gas. Delegates will receive a certificate upon passing the examination.
Upon completion of the course, delegates should:
Describe the organisation of the emergency response on the installation offshore, as well as the purpose of this.
Readying the lifeboat for evacuation.
Organise and lead mustering and embarking.
Communicate via radio, both internally in the lifeboat and with emergency control.
Launch the lifeboat and drive to a safe zone.
Manouver/drive lifeboat and prepare for an extended stay onboard.
Use emergency systems and equipment adapted to different conditions onboard the lifeboat.
Describe launching and safe evacuation by alternative means of evacuation: raft and escape chute (SkySkape).
All exercises are done in a simulator.
