Objective

Training will involve both theoretical & Practical elements in correct, safe and best practices when working on an Offshore Helideck and will be carried out by suitably qualified instructors.

Delegates will be assessed against the OPITO Approved
Helideck Assistant Standards. Although, an in house Training
Provider Certificate will be issued.

Target Group

This course is designed to provide the knowledge and skills
required for persons employed as Offshore Helideck Assistants and whom are required to assist the Helicopter Landing Officers conduct Safe Helideck Operations.

Prerequisites

No prerequisite is required to attend this training.

Examination

On completion of this course, a written assessment will be taken.

Course Contents

This course will cover the following modules:

• Preparation for helicopter landing
• Preparation for helicopter departure
• Preparation for freight for loading
• Unloading and loading of baggage passengers and freight
• Assist with preparation for refueling
• Assist with the refueling of the helicopter
• Assist with shutdown of the refueling operation
