Objective

During the course delegates will gain and demonstrate to a level of competence to undertake the
duties and responsibilities for personnel with designated security duties . The delegate will acquire
a knowledge on carrying out security assessment, security equipment, security systems, reporting,
documentation and records. Delegates will also acquire a knowledge of coordinating execution of
a ship security plan with the ship security officer.

Target Group

This course is aimed at seagoing personnel with designated security duties onboard a vessel.

Prerequisites

All delegates must be in possession of a valid seafarer medical certificate issued by an approved
medical practitioner and seaman card/identity document and be not less than 18 years of age.
